Waste Advisers in Action across Malawi

Much of our success in the work we do is a result of a desire to understand the needs of our communities and then to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. We’re committed to work with and strengthen local institutions to see them fulfil their mandates. Have a look at some of projects below.

As the country works to rebuild after the pandemic, creating a strong system for recycling is an effective way to boost local industries. Recycling can generate new jobs in areas such as waste collection, sorting, and processing. It also helps small businesses that buy recycled materials or turn waste into new products, creating fresh economic activity.

EU Possible

Promoting Organic Systems of Soil Improvement to Build a Lasting Economy. The proposed action aims to strengthen Malawian food systems through advocacy and evidence dissemination on the efficacy of soil organic matter restoration and development of waste-to compost systems. We intend to coordinate activities with stakeholders across local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), national and local government, academia, and private sector.
